At the end of 2009 I joined ONE55 and it was the best decision I have ever made. I took advantage of the personal trainer package and I was assigned to Catherine and have never looked back. I see her one on one and am also in group training. I have dropped at least 2 dress sizes and feel so much healthier since I have started working out with her. She is full of encouragement and that is a big deal to me, I need someone to give me encouragement and she pushes me to my limits and then some. She got me ready for my trip to Scotland to visit my brother who had not seen me since 2008 and he could not believe the change in me with my eating habits and also my attitude to exercise. Before I was a couch potato I would not walk the length of myself if I could help it but now I park at the basement at work and walk up the stairs, before I would drive round the car park and look for the nearest space to the lifts. During our training sessions she varies the exercise so that I do not get bored doing the same thing each session. I look forward to my sessions with Catherine and she is an excellent coach. I believe she has changed my outlook on exercise and that she has added a few more years to my life with my new healthy lifestyle.
Jade I find Alison Smith to be a great motivator in PT sessions. She pushes me above and beyond my own fitness level which has been good for my success. In a short amount of time my fitness has increased beyond a level I expected and I have also lost centrementres around my waist, hips, bust and arms! An awesome achievement for a short amount of time. I also owe the fact that she checks in with me on a weekly basis with regards to my exercise and eating records which encourages me to achieve success further. I would and have recommended her as a trainer to my work colleagues and will continue to do so in the future.
Angela I have been training with Alison for 7 weeks now and am so pleased with the results so far. Alison seems to be able to push me right to my limits without me realising! She is so motivating and encouraging and I would highly recommend anyone looking to achieve fitness goals have a personal training session with her.

In April 2010 I weighed in at 120 kilos and remained that way until September 2010 when I joined ONE55 health & fitness. A combination of cardio exercises such as rowing, cross trainer and of course a PT session once a week with Catherine helped me change my lifestyle for the better. I now weight 101 kilos with a BMI of 23.3! My strength and recovery are far beyond my exceptions. This lifestyle change I want very much to keep me moving forward in my chosen sport of wakeboarding. I would like to thank my wife for the motivation and the guidance of Catherine over the past 12 months.
David As long as I can remember I’ve always been overweight. I lived by the old saying fat people are happy people…well so I thought. I would stand on the scales and constantly tell myself I will have to do something about this one day. Eventually, I stopped weighing myself because I didn’t like what the scales were telling me, the last weight that I remember was 122 kilos, I could have been heavier than that but I’m not 100% sure. My wife, three kids, and I do a lot of water skiing on the Hawkesbury River when one day I was sitting out the front of the shack and my neighbour skied past with his two boys next to him. I then through to myself “I remember when it was me and my two boys doing that” and how much I enjoyed it. I constantly made the excuse that the arthritis in my hands and ankles would hurt too much so I wouldn’t exercise… until that day.
That was the turning point I made the life changing decision then and there that enough was enough it was time to do something about it. Instantly I started to watch what food I was consuming I cut right back on the beer and if I was to have a social drink I would drink Ouzo or Pepsi Max. I was constantly monitoring what food I was eating and how many calories each of them had, I was also getting off my backside and being more active and doing lots of skiing. I lost 10kg in the first 2 weeks and thought to myself that wasn’t as hard as I expected. I was working out at home with my gym set and going to the soccer field and running every second night while two of my boys trained. I reached the weight of 98kg and for about 4 weeks I could not shift any more weight, I then thought it was time to go to the gym. I went and looked at ONE55 health & fitness and immediately found the staff friendly and helpful and decided that I would join so I did.
I was going to the gym every night for two weeks and nothing was changing so I looked for a trainer for advice. I saw someone in the distance with “Ask me for help” on their back. I walked up and asked a few questions and immediately they explained that I had hit a plateu and what it meant. The personal trainer provided me with a few extra tips and within a week I dropped another 3 kilos.
I then signed up for a personal trainer and since then I have lost another 23kgs. All up I have lost 40kgs and about 23cm off my stomach, I have gone from wearing a size 40 jeans down to a size 32. Water skiing with my kids is my favourite past time; I have also bought a road trail bike for myself and go riding with my boys. I feel a lot healthier and for the first time in 40 years I like seeing what is in the mirror instead of avoiding it. I have that much energy to burn it drives my wife and kids crazy because I don’t want to sit still.
I no longer live by the saying fat people are happy people. I realise now I was just telling myself that to justify my weight and make myself feel good. My new moto is “healthy body, healthy mind” and have found that to be true. In finishing I would like to thank the staff at ONE55 health & fitness for their friendliness and help. My only regret is that I didn’t do it 20 years ago.

I joined one55 in late July 2011. The main purpose of me joining was to change my whole entire life, and in order for me to do that, i needed the best personal trainer that i could get. I needed someone that wouldn't take no for an answer or that wouldn't listen to the crap excuses to why i was overweight, i needed someone extremely stron, motivational and passionate about what they do for a living. So when i explained this to the consultant she straight away said to me, "you need Catherine". So on the 8th of August 2011, i had my first personal training session with Catherine. But before she trained me, she weighed me. I weighed in at 119.8kg, body fat being a massive, 50.2, waist at 132cm, hip at 145cm, arm 37cm and chest 115cm. I was absolutely ashamed and embarrassed, but i promised myself that with the massive help from my mentor and personal trained that i was going to change that. Catherine has been everything plus more that i have ever needed to help me change my life. She's a strong person who believes in what she does. Without her help and guidance i wouldn't of been able to get this far. I now weigh 102kg, waiste 94cm, hip 124cm, arm 34cm and chest 105cm, I highly recommend Catherine to anyone who is in need of a personal trainer, with her help you will get results.
