ONE55 health & fitnessAll the latest news and promotions from ONE55 health & fitness. The competition is now 2 weeks away and I am running out of time. My body is not where I want it to be and unfortunately, it has taken my body a lot longer than I thought to prepare.
The last couple weeks have been extremely stressful…. so I have decided to change my focus from aiming for the May bodybuilding competition to October and give my body extra time to prepare. Don’t worry, I haven't given up; I have just pushed my goal back a couple of months. Why? When I get on that stage I want my body fat to be in single digits and I want to look the best I can. I'm only going to do this once and I want to make sure I am mentally and physically ready. I have to say the past 10 weeks has been the hardest of my life. With my body fat being lower than what my hormones were use to, my emotions were everywhere. It has been mentally draining and physically exhausting - doing 3 hours of cardio, 2 weight sessions a day, 7 days a week and surviving on only 800 calories a day! Having said that, I am happy with how far I have come. As the weeks progressed I could feel my time running out which caused my stress to build. I was struggling to cope both mentally and physically. I know now where I want to be for the October competition and how I am going to get there. I feel refreshed and refocused with a new eating plan and training program. Bring on October! Like anyone, the brain plays tricks with my motivation, so I must be careful to maintain my focus to ensure I stay on track. Now that I know what to expect, I have more drive to better myself in all that I do in life. In terms of physicality - when I look in the mirror, my reflection motivates me to get bigger, fuller muscles on a tighter and leaner body. Thanks for all your support!
