The Competition is getting closer and I am really starting to feel the pressure!

This week was all about preparing for the competition! We chose our music for our flexing and posing routine which is only 60 seconds long. I also went to get my costume designed by Helen, here we chose our colours and decorations. I have chosen a really nice blue with blue sparkles within the material and I have decided to add a few crystals on it.

Being a bodybuilder we aren’t allowed to have too many sparkles on our costumes and we don’t wear heals, where as the figure girls are able to wear heels and have a lot of sparkle and jewellery on their consumer’s.

So what are the judges looking for when you pose? There are four key components to posing which are:

Muscular size: Bodybuilders need to have a greater degree of masculinity compared to the average person.

Muscular definition: It is important that I have a clear definition that shows the distinction between adjoining muscle groups.

Symmetry: Everything needs to look in proportion! Basically, I need to ensure that I am working every part of my body to ensure no part of my body is neglected.

Presentations: This is crucial in bodybuilding! I will need to ensure that I pose with as much confidence as possible.

Meal plan this week is about 1000 calories a day. Training this week is high reps 15 -20 and cardio is upped to 3 hours a day. Right now my energy is low, I'm feeling tired, emotional and negative, I’ve never felt this way before...
