Tabata Classes at One55 Health & Fitness Gym
Are you looking for the newest most effective way to incinerate body fat? Well, get ready to get super fit and lean - in four minutes!
What is Tabata ? Tabata is an explosive workout using bodyweight and\or weight & cardio exercises to create the fastest way to strip unwanted kilos and increase fitness. The Tabata protocol is rapidly becoming known as ‘the world’s greatest fat burning workout’ especially for those cardio loathers because it is over so mindbogglingly fast!
Dr. Izumi Tabata and a team of researchers from the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Tokyo discovered this kind of interval training produces much better results than aerobic training. Considering the study subjects were actually highlytrained endurance athletes in peak physical condition before they started the trial, the improvements were astonishing. It is seriously the most intense training protocol by far.
4 Minutes to Freedom! Each Tabata interval consists of 20 seconds of high intensity (as hard as you can go) exercise followed by a 10 second rest. This is repeated for 8 rounds totalling four minutes per cycle… but those four minutes produce remarkable effects. Typical Tabata class exercises include squat press, pushups, skipping and box jumps. Basically any exercise that places a large load on your biggest muscle groups. The secret to making this effective is in your sprint interval.
You have to go all out and do as many reps as you can in the 20 seconds, rest for 10, and then pick it up again and crazy hard for another 20 seconds. ONE55’s Personal Trainer Donna says “finish the last round like it was the first one” and recommends to “use your recovery! All 10 seconds of it!”
The Tabata method is easy to understand and apply, but take note; it’s not easy to do. Put simply, Tabata workouts are brutal! Tabata produces remarkable results – are you up to facing the Tabata fat loss challenge?
What do I need to bring? Workout Clothes. Wear clothes for a serious workout. No fashion gear here; just serious workout gear! Water and a Towel. You will sweat this one out so bring a towel to mop up and water to rehydrate.
